Database Rescue & Migration

A stalled study back on track in 30 days or less

Whether a build is months late, a vendor has stalled, or you need to move platforms mid-study, CDMP executes the rescue or migration on a fixed timeline — with data integrity and the audit trail intact.

What we do

Rescue work rewards a team that can assess quickly and execute without hand-offs. CDMP starts with a rapid gap assessment of the current build, data, and documentation, then re-architects what needs fixing and migrates cleanly to the target platform. Historical data is mapped and reconciled, edit checks and derivations are rebuilt and re-validated, and the migration is documented for inspection.

Our benchmark: platform-to-platform migration and study rescue completed in 30 days or less, depending on data volume and complexity.

When teams call us

  • Delayed build: go-live has slipped by months and enrollment is waiting.
  • Vendor breakdown: the current provider can't deliver, and you need continuity fast.
  • Platform change: a mid-study move to TrialKit or an enterprise EDC.
  • Data architecture problems: a build that can't support clean lock or CDISC mapping.
  • Portfolio consolidation: standardizing multiple legacy studies onto one platform.

What's included

  • Gap assessment: rapid review of build, data quality, validation state, and documentation.
  • Migration plan: mapping specification, cutover approach, and risk controls.
  • Data migration & reconciliation: full historical data moved, transformed, and reconciled record-for-record.
  • Rebuild & re-validation: eCRFs, edit checks, and derivations rebuilt with a fresh Part 11 / GCP validation package.
  • Cutover & support: coordinated go-live with site communication and hypercare.
